Stony Brook welcomes in NEC foe Quinnipiac... Last year, in the first-ever meeting between the two schools, the Seawolves captured a convincing, 87-61 win on the road... This year, the Bobcats are off to an 8-1 start out of the gate... America East schools are enjoying a 5-3 mark against the NEC this season.

at Hofstra 70, Hartford 54
Ikea Witt scored 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting, but it was not enough in Hartford’s 70-54 loss at the hands of Hofstra... Also in double digits for the Hawks was Lisa Etienne who finished with 11 points... With Hofstra ahead by 12, 48-36, with just under 10 minutes to play the Hawks used a 14-4 run to pull within two, 52-50... Hofstra wasn’t going to let it slip away using a 18-3 run through the end of the game to take home the 16-point victory.

Tuesday, December 19
at Bucknell 65, Binghamton 64 (OT)
Lindsay Hollobaugh scored the game-winning layup with 4.6 seconds remaining in overtime to give Bucknell a 65-64 victory over the Bearcats... It was the first overtime contest for any America East school this season... Binghamton’s Juta Jahilo matched a career-high with 16 points and added six rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks, while Laine Kurpniece recorded her first double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
at New Hampshire 71, Northeastern 62
Danielle Clark recorded a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Wildcats past Northeastern... Clark delivered 10 of her 20 points with less than six minutes to play to hold off the Huskies... She was awarded America East Player of the Game honors for her efforts... UNH made 7-of-8 from the charity stripe down the stretch to help preserve the win.
at Vermont 91, Kent State 73
Five Catamounts netted double figures en route to a 91-73 victory over Kent State... UVM has won four straight and eight of the last nine games.... Vermont scored 90-plus points for the first time in since Feb. 16, 2005 versus Albany... Courtnay Pilypaitis and Amy Rosenkrantz netted 15 points each to lead Vermont. Pilypaitis added nine assists, while Rosenkrantz grabbed six rebounds.
UMBC 69, at Rider 61
Sharri Rohde scored 21 points, including 11 straight during a decisive 21-6 UMBC run, to lead the Retrievers past host Rider... Rohde led four starters in double figures... Amanda Robinson tallied 16, Brittnie Hughes scored 13, while Kristin Drabyn rounded out top scorers with 10.
