Boston University Sweeps Swimming and Diving Weekly Honors

Boston University's Arik Seiler (Portland, Maine/Deering) and Marina Morie (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) have been named America East Men’s and Women’s Swimming Performers of the Week, respectively, while Brian Lawler (San Luis Obispo, Calif./Laguna Hills) and Alex Crerar (Regina, Saskatchewan/Riffel) earn Men’s and Women's Diving Performers of the Week, respectively. The awards were announced Tuesday (December 12).

Seiler won the 100-yard backstroke in 54.77. He also finished on top in the 200-yard individual medly in 1:58.27 and the 100-yard freestyle in 47.67 all against Maine on December 9. The Boston men earned its first win of the season with a 153-126 victory.

Morie won the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:56.80 and the 500 freestyle in 5:11.00. She also swam the third leg of the 400-freestyle relay team that won in a time of 3:34.13. The women's team defeated Maine with a score of 171-112.

Lawler won the one-meter dive with a score of 311.33 and the three-meter dive with 323.10. He has won every diving event so far this season, winning 12 events.

Crerar won both the one and three-meter dives with scores of 264.90 and 296.10, respectively. She has finished on top in seven diving events this season.
