Friday's Games
Bowling Green. v. Albany, 3 p.m.
(Golden Knight Tournament | Orlando, Fla.)
The Great Danes enter the UCF Golden Knight Tournament in Orlando, Fla. and will play Bowling Green in the opening round. This will mark the first-ever meeting between the two.

Binghamton vs. Winthrop, 5 p.m
(Florida Atlantic Tipoff | Boca Raton, Fla.)
The Bearcats travel to Boca Raton to participate in the Florida Atlantic Tipoff. They open against Winthrop, who was picked third in the Big South preseason poll.

Stony Brook vs. Illinois State, 5:30 p.m.
(DePaul Tournament | Chicago, Ill.)
The Seawolves and Redbirds open play at the DePaul Tournament in the first-ever meeting between the two. Stony Brook will play either DePaul or Yale in the next round.

Hartford at St. Joseph’s, 7 p.m.
In a battle of Hawks, Hartford and St. Joseph’s square off having each won a game in the all-time series. Hartford was 4-0 against the Atlantic-10 last year including a 64-58 win over Temple in the NCAAs.

Loyola (Md.) at UMBC, 7 p.m.
After a pair of close calls against George Washington and Coppin State, the Retrievers look to get back on track against Loyola (Md.). Last season, the Greyhounds lost to Marist in the MAAC title game.

Wagner at New Hampshire, 7 p.m.
The Wildcats open the home portion of their 2006-07 season against NEC foe Wagner. Last year, New Hampshire earned a convincing 74-52 win on Staten Island. This year the Seahawks make the return trip.

Holy Cross at Vermont, 8 p.m.
(TD Banknorth Classic| Burlington, Vt.)
The Catamounts play host to Holy Cross in the opening round of the TD Banknorth Classic. Vermont will also welcome in East Carolina and Harvard for this four-team two-day tournament.

Wednesday, November 15
Albany 72, vs. Siena 52 (Pepsi Arena)
The Great Danes captured a convincing 20-point win over its crosstown foe. The winning margin is the largest since Feb. 23, 2005 and marks the first time since 1977-78 Albany defeated its Capital counterpart. Sherri Mikus led five Danes in double figures with 18 points.

Tuesday, November 15
Coppin State 59, at UMBC 48 (MASN)
Retriever freshman guard Carlee Cassidy scored 17 off the bench, shooting 6-for-11 from the floor, including 3-for-5 from long distance, but it was not enough as the two-time defending MEAC champion captured a 59-48 win in UMBC’s home opener.

Boston University 82, at Rhode Island 66
The Terriers made a statement in their season opener capturing an impressive 82-66 win over Atlantic-10 foe Rhode Island.  Freshman Kristen Folk recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds and Cheri Raffo had a team-high 16 points. Five players scored in double digits and each Boston U. player on the court scored at least two points.

at Massachusetts 60, New Hampshire 38
Danielle Clark scored a team-high 11 points, while Ray Williams had eight points and seven rebounds, but it was not enough as the Wildcats dropped their season opener 60-38 at UMass.

Sacred Heart 57, at Binghamton 53
Defending Northeast Conference Champion Sacred Heart spoiled Binghamton’s home opener as it edged out the Bearcats 57-52. Binghamton outscored the Pioneers 17-6 in the final eight minutes.
