The Terriers made a statement in their season opener capturing an impressive 82-66 win over Atlantic-10 foe Rhode Island. Freshman Kristen Folk recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds and Cheri Raffo had a team-high 16 points. Five players scored in double digits and each Boston U. player on the court scored at least two points.

anielle Clark scored a team-high 11 points, while Ray Williams had eight points and seven rebounds, but it was not enough as the Wildcats dropped their season opener 60-38 at UMass.
Sacred Heart 57, at Binghamton 53
Defending Northeast Conference Champion Sacred Heart spoiled Binghamton’s home opener as they edged out the Bearcats 57-52. Binghamton outscored the Pioneers 17-6 in the final eight minutes.
