Eight of nine America East cross country teams took the weekend off to prepare for the Championships taking place next Saturday, October 28th at the University of Maine. The men's race will begin at 11:00 am, followed by the women's race at 12 noon.
Central Connecticut University Mini Meet (Men's Results)(Women's Results)
The Stony Brook University women's cross country team took 3rd place on Saturday at the Central Connnecticut University mini meet. The women's team took three of the top four finishing spots led by freshman Laura Huet in 2nd place. Senior Liz Carlson finished 3rd and junior Kerry Salzano finished in 4th place. The women's team completed its regular season in preparation for America East with a third place finish behind the University of Connecticut.
On the men's side of things, freshman Kurt Wende was the first Seawolf home with a 17th place finish. The team took 6th place overall.
The two squads will return to action when they compete in the America East race next weekend.
