Stony Brook’s Chris Megaloudis has been named America East player of the week, while Vermont’s Lee Stephane Kouadio is the Rookie of the week for week two of the 2005 season. The awards were announced Monday (September 12).
Megaloudis scored the game-tying goal with 4:23 remaining in regulation to force overtime against La Salle then assisted on the game-winning goal in the second over time to give Stony Brook the 3-2 win. Megaloudis took over offensively, scoring four goals including the game-winner in the Seawolves 5-2 victory over Philadelphia.
Kouadio scored three goals, including games winners against Harvard and 13th ranked University of San Francisco. A first half goal against Harvard in a 1-0 win and two-second half goals in a comeback 2-1 win over USF. Kouadio has played in all five games for the Catamounts and has 4 goals on the season.
