With its 4-2 win over Stony Brook in Game 1 Saturday, Northeastern (14-6 America East, 24-21 overall) has earned the No. 1 seed in the 2005 America East Baseball Championship to be held at Centennial Field in Burlington, Vt. May 26-28. Maine (14-7, 31-16) is the No. 2 seed and will play No. 3 seed and host Vermont (13-7, 25-17). Binghamton (12-8, 23-24-1) is the No. 4 seed and will meet Northeastern in the first game of the four-team, double-elimination championship Thursday. The winner of the America East Baseball Championship earns an automatic berth to the 64-team NCAA Baseball Championship.
