Sheridan, Plati, Hauser Receive Women's Lacrosse Honors

Senior Goalkeeper Anne Sheridan (Baltimore, Md./Roland Park) of Boston University has been named America East Player of the Week. Sophomore Goalie Stacey Plati (Nashua, N.H./Nashua) and freshman Jenny Hauser (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes) have been named the America East Defender and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The awards were announced Monday (May 2).

Sheridan made 12 saves in Boston U.'s 10-9 overtime win at New Hampshire. She also made eight saves in the Terriers' 10-9 upset of No. 2 Dartmouth. Along with the 20 saves, she had eight ground balls and one caused turnover in the two games. On the season, she leads America East in goals against average (6.96) and save percentage (.581).

Plati had a 1-1 record with a 6.88 GAA and.633 save percentage in 96 minutes of action. She recorded a career-high 17 saves in the overtime loss to Boston U. Ten of those saves came in the second half, including one with two seconds remaining to force overtime. She was credited with one save on OT. Plati stopped two of three shots on goal vs. Vermont in the first half to earn the victory.

Hauser scored three goals - including the game-winner - in Boston U.'s 10-9 win at UNH. She also scored three goals in the Terriers' 10-9 upset win over No. 2 Dartmouth. Hauser had five ground balls, three caused turnovers, and three draw controls in the two wins. nd three draw controls in the two wins.
