Sophomore Carlee Buck (Penn Yan, N.Y./Penn Yan Academy) of Stony Brook and Junior Katie Leland (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) of New Hampshire share the America East Player of the Week honors. Sophomore Jen Daly (Stowe, Pa./Pottsgrove) of Albany and Jenny Hauser (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) were named America East Defender and Rookie of the Week, respectively. All awards were announced Monday (April 18).
Buck broke the school record for points scored in a single game in the Seawolves come-from-behind win over Vermont. She netted three goals and assisted on six to register nine points. Against New Hampshire, she scored twice and assisted on four goals for six points in the loss.
Leland scored a school-record nine goals and also recorded two assists for a total of 11 points in UNH's conference victory against UMBC to highlight a week in which she amassed 15 goals and five assists in three Wildcat victories.
Daly recorded her second-highest save total of the season with 15 stops against UMBC to along with six ground balls. Daly made two saves on free-position opportunities in the closing minutes. She became UAlbany's all-time saves lead with 328, surpassing Kim Martini's previous record of 327 set from 1997-00.
Hauser scored a game-high six goals on six shots in Boston U.'s 20-3 win over Binghamton. She also netted three goals in the Terrier' 10-8 upset win over Georgetown.
