Joe Lamb of Albany was named America East Player of the Week while Derek Miller of Vermont was chosen Pitcher of the Week. UMBC's Joe Fowler and Vermont's Joe Serafin share Rookie of the Week honors. All awards were announced Monday (April 18).

Lamb (Deptford, N.J./Gloucester Catholic) of Albany is the America East Player of the Week after batting .647 in four games. The senior shortstop was 11-for-17 at the plate with two doubles, four RBI and four runs scored. He also had his fourth stolen base of the season and 47th of his career.

Miller (Pelham, N.H./Pelham) of Vermont is the America East Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season. Miller won his fourth-straight decision by pitching two-hit ball over seven innings with 11 strikeouts and a walk. Only one runner reached second base in the 12-0 win over Hartford.

Fowler (Wilmington, Del./St. Marks) and Serafin (Tariffville, Conn./Simsbury) share America East Rookie of the Week honors. Fowler batted .529 and drove in nine runs in five games for the Retrievers. Serafin made his second collegiate start a memorable one by firing the first UVM no-hitter since 2001 with a 4-0 blanking of Siena. The lefty walked just one and struck out 12 in the seven-inning complete game. He added a solid relief effort vs. Hartford going 3.2 innings without allowing a run.
