Daquino, Tripodi Earn Weekly Honors

Luke Daquino (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem) of Albany and Bo Tripodi (Hauppauge, N.Y./Hauppauge) of Stony Brook have been named America East Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The awards were announced Monday (March 28).

Daquino had a career-high 11 points in a 25-9 victory over Hartford in the season’s first conference game. He established the school's single-game assists mark (8), a record that stood for nearly 15 years. Daquino has moved into second on the school's career assist list (109) and climbed to third among the all-time scorers with 188 points.

Tripodi scored four goals and added an assist in SB's 2-0 week. He notched his second hat trick of the season on Saturday night with three critical goals in the conference opener against Quinnipiac. He scored twice in a span of 36 seconds late in the third quarter to give the Seawolves an 11-8 lead. His second goal of the quarter proved to be the game-winner. Tripodi also enjoyed a solid game against No. 16 Rutgers with a goal and an assist.
