Brendan Mundorf (Baltimore, Md./Mt. St. Joseph) of UMBC is the America East Player of the Week and Ryan Curran (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry) of Hartford has been selected as the America East Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Monday, March 14.
Mundorf became the 18th player in school history to eclipse the 100-point plateau (69 goals, 34 assists, 103 points) with his five-goal, three assist effort vs. Canisius. He scored five goals n just six shots and has 14 goals on 23 attempts (60.9%) Mundorf also posted a “hat-trick” with an assist against Johns Hopkins, the nations No. 1 team.
Curran scored two goals and added an assist for three points as the Hawks fell to Holy Cross on Sunday. After two games, the freshman leads the team in scoring with three goals and three assists for six points.
