University of Vermont’s Jesse Brady-Searby (Petersburgh, N.Y./North Field Mt. Hermon/Siena) and Stony Brook University's Michael Palacio (Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach) share this week’s America East Player of the Week award, while Vermont’s Jordan Crasilneck (Eugene, Ore./Sheldon) garners the Rookie of Week honor. The awards were announced Monday (October 10).

Brady-Searby, a senior at Vermont, scored three goals and led a strong Vermont defensive effort in the Catamounts’ 4-0 win over league-leading UMBC. Brady-Searby now has three game-winning goals on the season and recorded the first UVM hat trick since Oct. 4, 2003.

Palacio, a sophomore at Stony Brook, totaled five points on two goals and an assist in leading the Seawolves to a pair of key conference victories on the road last week. He began the week with a goal in a 2-0 win at Boston University before capping it with the game-winning score and an assist on an insurance goal in a 2-0 blanking at New Hampshire.

Crasilneck, a freshman at Vermont, had a goal and two assists in Vermont’s 4-0 win over UMBC. He now leads America East with nine assists, just one off the UVM single-season record. This was his second game this season with two assists.
