America East Champion New Hampshire will play at Dartmouth Thursday (May 13) at 4 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship.

The Wildcats are ranked No. 18 in the most recent Brine/IWLCA Poll, while the Big Green are ranked ninth.

The winner of the New Hampshire/Dartmouth game meets the winner of the Colgate/Princeton game Sunday, May 16 for the right to advance to the final four.

New Hampshire, which earned automatic qualifier status to the NCAA Championship by virtue of Saturday's 11-9 victory against Boston University, will be making its sixth NCAA appearance and first since 1991 when Wildcats advanced to the semifinals. New Hampshire won the 1985 National Championship and also played in the NCAAs in 1987, 1986 and 1984. The Wildcats are 4-4 in NCAA play.

New Hampshire (15-4 overall) has won a school-record 14 consecutive games en route to the school single-season record for wins. The 2004 Wildcats have also broke the program's single-season records for both goals (260) and points (344) and are currently ranked No. 4 in the nation in offense as well as No. 7 in defense.
