Kristen Brust (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem) of Stony Brook has been named the America East Player of the Week, while Michelle Weeks (Bunnell, Fla./Flagler Palm Coast) of Binghamton and Kelly Claar (Federal Way, Wash./Decatur) of UMBC were named Pitcher and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The awards were announced Monday, April 5.

Brust amassed 12 hits in 18 at bats during the week and knocked in eight runs for the Seawolves. Brust exploded with a 7-for-8, five RBI performance against Wagner, and later on in the week banged out five hits including a pair of home runs against conference-rival Maine.

Weeks was dominant in the circle as she threw a no hitter and guided the Bearcats to a conference win over Hartford. Weeks fanned 11 Hawks in the performance and is the first Bearcat in four years to toss a no hitter for Binghamton.

Claar performed well both offensively and defensively for the Retrievers as she hit .357 in 14 at bats, including a grand slam against LaSalle, and also pitched a two-hitter against Howard.
