Katie Leland and Cristina Covucci of New Hampshire were named America Player and Defender of the Week, respectively. Katie Fontana of Albany was named America East Rookie of the Week. All three awards were announced Monday (April 26).
Leland (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) scored eight goals and added four assists as the Wildcats won two conference games. The sophomore attacker had six goals and two assists vs. Albany Sunday.
Covucci (Concord, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) had five ground balls and three caused turnovers in the two Wildcat wins. The rookie midfielder also added a goal and two assists.
Fontana (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) had five goals and two assists in a 13-11 win at Vermont Friday. The attacker added a goal at New Hampshire Sunday.
