Leland, Dosdall, Raab Earn Weekly Women's Lacrosse Honors

Katie Leland and Laura Dosdall of New Hampshire, were named America East Player and Defender of the Week while Kristina Raab of UMBC was named America East Rookie of the Week. Each of the awards was announced Monday (April 19).

Leland (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) scored 10 goals and added three assists as the Wildcats defeated Harvard, Boston University and Rutgers this week. The sophomore attacker had two goals, including the game-winner, as New Hampshire won at Boston University, 7-6, Saturday. A day later, she scored three-straight goals and then set up the game-winner as the Wildcats rallied from an 8-5 deficit to defeat Rutgers, 9-8.

Dosdall (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) had eight ground balls, two caused turnovers and three draw controls in the three Wildcat wins. The junior midfielder also contributed on the offensive end with three goals.

Raab (Amherst, N.Y./Amherst) earned the starting nod in both games last week and posted a 7.71 goals against average with 14 saves and five ground balls as the Retrievers defeated Albany, 11-9, Friday and Vermont, 15-7, Sunday.
