Lindgren, Andrews, Ogden Collect Softball Awards

Andee Lindgren (La Habra, Calif./Sonora) of Albany has been chosen the America East Player of the Week for the second straight week. Stony Brook’s Angela Andrews (Phelan, Calif./Serrano) and Kelly Ogden (Pine Bush, N.Y./Pine Bush) of Albany were named the America East Pitcher and Rookie of the Week respectively (April 19).

Lindgren went 9-15 (.600) as she extended her hit streak to 10 games. She contributed by knocking in five runs and scoring six as she led the Great Danes to five conference wins during the week. Currently, Lindgren leads first place Albany in hitting (.441) and RBI (22).

Andrews collected a pair of wins against conference foe Vermont. She threw 14.0 innings and only allowed nine hits and one earned run while striking out eight. Andrews has collected 11 wins in her last 14 appearances in the circle.

Ogden amassed six hits in 17 at bats and knocked in nine runs for the Great Danes as they cruised to a 5-0 week against conference opponents. She cranked two home runs, including a two-run shot against Vermont.
