Lindsay Lewis of Boston University and Cristina Covucci of New Hampshire were named America East Player and Defender of the Week, respectively. Kate Fontana and Becky Green of Binghamton shared Rookie of the Week honors. All awards were announced Monday (April 12).
Lewis scored two goals and added four assists in the 14-6 win at UMBC Saturday. The sophomore midfielder also had three goals and an assist in an 11-10 overtime loss at Harvard Wednesday.
Covucci had five ground balls in a 19-4 win at Stony Brook Saturday.
Fontana tied a season-high with six points (three goals, three assists) in a 20-14 win over Binghamton Friday. She also had two goals and an assist in a 10-7 loss to Holy Cross Wednesday. Green had five goals and two assists in a 12-11 win at Vermont Sunday. She also scored three goals and had four assists in a 20-14 loss at Albany Friday.
