Junior Vanessa Cox of Vermont, Sophomore Mel Bourque of New Hampshire and Anna Riordan of Binghamton, were named America East Player, Defender and Rookie of the Week, respectively on Monday (March 22).
Cox (Newton, Mass./Newton North) scored seven goals and added an assist as the Catamounts defeated Long Island and Howard. She had six goals in the game vs. Howard Friday and now has 13 goals in five games this season.
Bourque (Topsfield, Mass./Governor Dummer) caused five turnovers in a 15-2 win at Sacred Heart Saturday and again led the Wildcat defense in an 18-2 win at Fairfield Sunday.
Riordan (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) had three goals and two assists in the Bearcats 16-15 win over Siena Sunday. The attacker also had eight ground balls and four draw controls.
