Jess Burnap of New Hampshire, Jen Sandtorv of Stony Brook and Angie Martin of Boston University were named the America East Player, Defender and Rookie of the Week, respectively, on Tuesday (March 16).
Burnap (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) led the Wildcats' offense with 14 goals and an assist in four games. She also recorded six ground balls and seven draw controls. She had five goals in a 12-10 overtime loss at Brown and also had four goals against both Yale and Connecticut.
Sandtorv (Centereach, N.Y./Centereach) had 36 saves in the Seawolves' first three games and also collected a team-best 12 ground balls. The rookie goalkeeper made 14 saves and had eight ground balls in her first career win, a 7-3 decision over Long Island.
Martin (Baltimore, Md./Seton Keough) had six assists in her first two games as the 11th ranked Terriers defeated Massachusetts and Monmouth. She had five assists in the 12-9 win over the Minutewomen. She also had three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
