New Balance Armory Collegiate Invitational
The Northeastern women's track and field team was the top America East finisher at the New Balance Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York City. The Huskies, who finished fourth overall with 43 points, were led by Ahndraea Allen (Roselle Park, N.J./Roselle Park) as she set a Northeastern record while winning the 400-meter dash (53.91), Aquila Williams-Judge (Boston, Mass./Scituate) who won the long jump (19' 6.25”), and Zara Northover (Elmont, N.Y./Sewanhaka) who won the shot put (51' 3.5”).

Other America East competitors included the Northeastern men's team in 13th place (19.50 points), Albany in seventh place (29.50) on the women's side and 16th (16) on the men's, the UMBC men's team in ninth (28.50) and the women in a tie for 27th with Stony Brook, and the Stony Brook men's team in 17th (14). Individual highlights included Albany's Gered Burns (Altamont, N.Y./Guilderland) who won the 800 (1:50.15), UMBC’s Edward Warner (Baton Rouge, La./Louisiana St. U. Lab) who finished first in the high jump (6’ 9”), and Idris Payne (New York, N.Y./Fordham Prep) of Northeastern who won the 400 (46.71) and broke the schools indoor record in the event.

Valentine Invitational
The Boston University women’s track and field team and the University of Maine track teams both competed at the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University. Top finishers for the Terriers included Erin Cadden (Allentown, Pa./Allentown) who won the 55 hurdles (8.42) and MaryEllen Bingham (Boston, Mass./Boston Latin) who turned in a second-place finish in the triple jump (38’ 9.75”). Claire Poliquin (N. Vancouver, B.C./Handsworth) was the top individual finisher for the Black Bears with a third-place finish in the high jump (5’ 8.5”) while the 4x400 relay team tied for second with a time of 3:51.40.

Around the Conference
At the Cornell Indoor Invitational the Binghamton track and field teams turned in three first-place performances and two school records. The women’s 4x800 relay team crossed the line with a time of 9:23.27, good for a first-place finish and a new school record, while the other school record was set by Neil Case (West Winfield, N.Y./Mount Markham) in the men’s 60 hurdles (8.40) trial heat. For the Bearcats, Lindsay Bohrer-Yardley (Oneida, N.Y./Vernon-Verona Sherril) won the women’s 5000 (18:18) and Rory Quiller (West Point, N.Y./James I. Oneill) captured the men’s pole vault (15’ 9.75”).

Both the New Hampshire and Vermont women’s teams squared off against one another in a dual meet that was won by the Catamounts 91-78. Erin O'Grady (Raymond, N.H./Raymond) and Kristal Kostiew (Northwood, N.H./Coe-Brown) each won two events for Vermont as O'Grady won the 200 (27.20) and 400 (1:04.03) and Kostiew picked up wins in the shot put (13.08m) and weight throw (18.31m). Leading New Hampshire was Mary Garrity (Manchester, N.H/Manchester Central) who grabbed first in the 3000 (10:32.48) and the 4x400 relay team, which finished first with a time of 4:14.93.

Also in action were the Boston University men at the FasTrack Invitational and the Hartford men and women who competed at the Wesleyan Invitational. Top finishers for the Terriers included Nick Goodman (Newton, Mass./Newton), who turned in a sixth-place finish in the 800 (1:53.09) and Barry Graham (Scottsdale, Ariz./Chaparral) who came in 10th in the 200 (21.93). Leading the Hawks were Anike Orimogonje (Orange, N.J./Queen of Peace), as she turned in first-place finishes in the women’s 55 (7.37) and 400 (1:01.38), and Chris Spivey (Hyde Park, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) with top finishes in the men’s 55 (6.52) and 200 (22.95).
