Sophomore Ronnie Dennis (Abbeville, Ala./Abbeville) of New Hampshire and junior Marcus Barnes (Miami, Fla./Senior/U. of Miami) of Northeastern share America East Player of the Week honors. Northeastern forward Bennet Davis (Freeport Bahamas/Notre Dame Prep) is the America East Rookie of the Week. The honors were announced Monday (December 1).
Dennis, a 6-2 guard, scored a career-high 26 points on 8-of-15 shooting, including 6-of-8 beyond the arc, in an 81-75 win at Harvard Saturday.
Barnes, a 6-2 guard, had a career-high 31 points in the 91-84 win at West Virginia Saturday. He tied a school record with seven treys. He had 11 points and five rebounds in an 81-65 win over Louisiana Monroe in Las Vegas Tuesday.
The 6-9 Davis had his first double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds in a win vs. Louisiana Monroe in Las Vegas Tuesday and added seven points, two rebounds, a block and a steal in the 91-84 win at West Virginia Saturday.
