Nacaxe, Whalen, Morgan, James Pick up Week 2 Accolades

Boston University’s Andre Nacaxe (Goiania, Brazil) and New Hampshire’s Nicole Whalen (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick) have been named the Men’s and Women’s Track Performers of the Week, respectively, while Maine’s Anthony Morgan (South Berwick, Maine/Marshwood) and Boston U.’s Tahari James (Branford, Conn./Branford) have been named Men’s and Women’s Field Performers of the Week, respectively. The awards were announced Tuesday (December 14).

Nacaxe, a senior for the Terriers, won the 800-meter race at the Harvard Invitational last weekend. He earned the first-place finish with a time of (1:55.12).

The sophomore Whalen finished first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:50.38. She also finished second in the 3000-meter run, timing out at (10:37.82).

Morgan, a sophomore at Maine, finished first in the weight throw (16.00 meters) and also added a third-place finish in the shot put at 13.11 meters.

James, a freshman Terrier, won the long jump with a leap of (5.63 meter) at the Harvard Invitational. She also placed third in the high jump (1.60 meters) and 13th in the 200-meter dash (26.98).
