Binghamton (6-3-0 America East, 12-5-1) has clinched the No. 1 seed in the six-team America East Women's Soccer Championship and will host the semifinals and championship Friday (November 5) and Sunday (November 7) on campus in Vestal, N.Y.
Maine (6-3-0, 12-5-1) is the No. 2 seed and has earned the other first-round bye.
New Hampshire (6-3-0, 10-7-2) is the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 Hartford (4-4-1, 5-11-2) in a first-round game Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Boston University (5-3-1, 13-4-2) is the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Northeastern (5-3-1, 11-6-2) in the other semifinal Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The championship will be decided Sunday, November 7. The semifinals are set for Friday, November 5. Both the semifinals and championship game will be played at the No. 1 seed. First-round games of the six-team championships will be played Tuesday, November 2 at the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds.
The winner of the America East Championship receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship. Last season, Boston University won its third America East Women’s Soccer title in four years with a penalty kick decision over Maine at Nickerson Field.
