Senior goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul of Albany and junior midfielder Powell Cucchiella of UMBC share America East Rookie of the Week honors while Boston University midfielder Roland Erlichman and UMBC midfielder Matt Watson share Rookie of the Week. Each of the awards was announced Monday (October 18).
Coundoul (Bronx, N.Y./Martin Luther King) had 10 saves in posting his ninth shutout in a 2-0 win at Hartford Saturday.
Cucchiella (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Tech) had two goals and an assist in the 4-1 win over Maine Saturday and also had an assist in a 2-2 tie at Navy Wednesday.
Erlichman (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Chaparral) scored a goal in the 3-2 win over Vermont Saturday and also had a goal in the 2-1 loss at Connecticut Tuesday.
Watson (Redditch, England/Bridley Moor) scored the game-winning goal and added an assist as the Retrievers defeated Maine, 4-1, Saturday.
