Northeastern's Mari Creatini (Auburndale, Mass./Newton North) and Maine's Emily Dooling (Winthrop, Maine/Winthrop) have been named America East Co-Players of the Week, while Marisa Maze (Glens Falls, N.Y./Glens Falls) of Albany has received Rookie of the Week honors.
Creatini scored her first career hat trick in the Huskies' 4-3 loss to 2001 national champion Michigan and also has two assists this season for a team high nine points. Dooling tallied three goals and two assists in the Black Bear's first four games of the season. The junior had a two-goal effort in Maine's 4-1 home win over Siena and a multiple-point game as Maine downed Davidson 3-1 in its season opener.
Maze, a freshman goalie, recorded the second highest number of saves in a game by an Albany freshman goalkeeper with 24 in the Great Danes loss to Lafayette. For her efforts in the UConn Classic, Maze was named Tournament MVP as she totaled 30 saves in the two-day affair. For the year, Maze holds a 2.67 GAA with 38 saves (.826 %) in 210:00 minutes played.
