Liz Dyjak (Ludlow, MA/Ludlow) of Northeastern and Victoria Feliciano (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville) of Stony Brook were named the America East Co-Players of the Week, while Stony Brook's Katie Kramer (Highland, Mich./Milford) took home America East Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Monday, September 22.
Dyjak contributed to all four goals in the Huskies' 4-1 win over St. Bonaventure. Dyjak scored the games first goal as she converted a penalty kick and soon followed with her second goal, which proved to be the game-winner. She later brought her daily point total to six as she assisted with the Huskies' two final goals.
Feliciano converted a penalty kick against Lehigh and added one assist as Stony Brook held on to defeat Lehigh 2-1. Two days later, after being pulled down by an opponent, she converted another penalty kick against St. Peter’s in the Holiday Inn Express (HIE) Invitational. Feliciano was later named Offensive MVP of the HIE Invitational.
Kramer scored two goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist in the Seawolves’ 5-0 win over Temple in the second game of the HIE Invitational. For her performance, Kramer was named to the HIE Invitational all tournament-team.
