Hartford’s Alon Lubezky (Kfar Shmaryahu, Israel/Yovel Herzlia) was named America East Player of the Week and Yan Gbolo (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy) of Albany was named America East Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced September 22, 2003.
Lubezky earned week three honors as a result of his five-point performance over Harvard. Lubezky accounted for two of the Hawks’ goals and assisted on another as Hartford went on to defeat the Crimson 4-1.
Gbolo, a freshman forward, scored the Great Danes' lone goal as Albany held on to defeat Lafayette 1-0. Gbolo's goal was the second of his collegiate career and his second straight game-winner.
