Jen North (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) and Kristen Blake (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough), both of Northeastern, took home America East accolades, earning Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week respectively.
North, a junior midfielder, scored two goals and also recorded one assist in the Huskies' 6-1 win over Iona. North’s first goal came just 23 seconds into the game, while her second goal proved to be the game winner.
Blake contributed one goal and two assists in Northeastern’s 6-1 victory over Iona. Blake assisted on the Huskies' first goal, only 23 seconds into the game, and later scored her first collegiate goal.
