Northeastern's Mari Creatini (Auburndale, Mass./Newton North) was named America East Player of the Week for the second straight week, while Boston University's goalie, Erin Prediger (Telford, Pa./Souderton Area), received Rookie of the Week honors.
A Northeastern forward, Mari Creatini tallied a career-high eight points, with her second hat trick of the season, and two assists to power Northeastern past Quinnipiac, 6-1. Just six games into the 2003 season, Creatini now leads all of America East with 16 points and six goals.
Prediger, Boston University's freshman goalie, finished the week with a 1.47 goals against average and a .736 save percentage in the Terriers' three games. Against Boston College, Prediger made a number of spectacular saves in the two overtime periods and played a total of 98:08, giving up just one goal with 10 saves. Against UMass, she allowed one goal and rounded out the week by giving up three goals and making four saves against Brown.
