Boston University sophomore midfielder Alyssa Trudel was named to the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-America Second Team as announced by IWLCA Chairperson Kerstin Kimmel Tuesday, May 27.

Trudel enjoyed a record-breaking season while leading the Terriers (14-5, 5-0) to the 2003 America East Championship and the 16-team NCAA Championship. Trudel set Boston University single-season records for points (86), assists (42), and draw controls (50), while ranking in the Top 20 in the nation in all three categories.

Trudel was the only America East player named to either of the 16-player teams. Earlier Trudel had been chosen to the Northeast Region All-America first team. She was joined on that team by sophomore teammate Anne Sheridan, a goalkeeper, and senior attack Jessie Groszkowski of New Hampshire. In addition, rookie attacker Lindsay Lewis and junior defender Sasha Lang, both of Boston University, were named to the second-team.

Trudel (second team), Lang (third team) and Groszkowski (third team) were also honored on the Inside Lacrosse All-America teams.
