Northeastern will head to Baton Rouge, La. for the NCAA Baseball Championships. The Huskies will take on the host school, LSU, in the first round of the double-elimination regional, beginning May 30.

The Huskies (27-22), the No. 4 seed in the regional, will take on the No. 1 seeded LSU Tigers (40-19-1) in an opening round game at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, May 30. LSU is the No. 2 overall seed in the championship. No. 2 Tulane (43-17) will battle No. 3 UNC-Wilmington (38-21) at 8 p.m. ET to complete the opening round.
This is Northeastern's third trip to an NCAA Regional as America East Champion, and seventh overall. The Huskies' last trip to an NCAA Regional was in 1997, where they participated in the West Regional in Palo Alto, Calif. Northeastern has posted one appearance in the College World Series, reaching Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha in 1966.
LSU is making its 18th overall, and 15th consecutive, appearance in an NCAA Regional. The Tulane Green Wave are making their 14th appearance in a regional, while the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks are making the program's first NCAA appearance. All three teams received at-large bids to the championship. This will be the first meeting between Northeastern and any of these teams.
Northeastern won its third America East Championship, and first since 1997, with a convincing 11-0 win over Stony Brook on Saturday, May 24. The Huskies became the first No. 4 seed to win the America East Baseball Championship.
