Boston University Heads To California For NCAA Softball Championship

Boston University (33-21) will travel to Fullerton, Calif. for the NCAA Softball Championships. The Terriers will take on Oklahoma St. (36-13) on Thursday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time in the double-elimination Regional. The top seed in Region 6 is Cal. St. Fullerton (39-13).

The Terriers won their second straight America East Championship Saturday, defeating University at Albany, 3-1, in the title game, behind a complete game performance from Championship Most Outstanding Player Julie Henneke.

San Diego St. (37-18) and Louisiana-Lafayette (43-8) will kick off the regional at 12 noon on Thursday. Rider (24-23) will battle the host school at 2:30, while Penn St. (30-21) will face Oregon (32-17) in the nightcap, which is scheduled to being at 7:30. The winner of each of the eight regions advances to the Women's College World Series.
