Goalkeepers Rorke Greene (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) of Hartford and Michael Gabel (Falmouth, Mass./Falmouth) of Vermont share America East Player of the Week honors. Garett Kikot (Toronto, Ontario/Birchmont Park) of Hartford was named America East Rookie of the Week. The honors were chosen Monday (April 7).
Greene made 19 saves in the 10-5 win at Albany Sunday as the Hawks handed the Great Danes their first regular-season conference loss since joining America East last year. The senior did not allow an Albany goal after the Great Danes had tied the game 5-5 with 9:32 left in the second period.
Gabel made 14 saves in a 5-4 win over Quinnipiac Sunday. The sophomore improved his goals against average to 6.19 and his save percentage to .686, both of which lead America East and rank among the top five nationally.
Kikot scored the game-winning goal and added two assists in the 10-5 win over Albany Sunday. He also had a goal and an assist in a 5-4 win at Providence Wednesday.
