Four Gain Weekly Men's Lacrosse Honors

Senior attackman Travis Eckler (Endicott, N.Y./Herkimer Community College) of Hartford and sophomore attackman Luke Daquino (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem) of Albany share America East Player of the Week honors while Garett Kikot (Toronto, Ontario/Birchmont Park) of Hartford and Jason Cappadoro (Levittown, N.Y./MacArthur) of Stony Brook share America East Rookie of the Week honors. The awards were announced Monday (April 21).

Eckler scored seven goals and added a like number of assists in two games last week as the Hawks extended their unbeaten streak to six games. He had two goals and three assists as the Hawks clinched the No. 1 seed in the America East Championship, with a 13-7 win at Binghamton Saturday.

Daquino scored three goals and added three assists in a 12-11 win over Quinnipiac Saturday as the Great Danes secured a championship bid and remained in second place. With a win at Vermont this Saturday, Albany would be the No. 2 seed in the championship and host a semifinal game.

Kikot had eight goals and an assist in two games.

Cappadoro had all four of his points (a goal, three assists) in the deciding fourth quarter of the Seawolves' 6-4 win at Vermont, which earned Stony Brook a berth in the America East Championship.
