Two America East Teams Ranked In CollegeBaseballInsider.com Northeast Coaches Poll

University of Maine (19-7 Overall, 3-1 America East) jumped from eleventh place to eighth place (36 total points) in the CollegeBaseballInsider.com Northeast Coaches Poll for April 15th. University of Vermont (13-4, 0-0) made its debut in the top-15, receiving 16 total points to earn a ranking of 13th. Stony Brook University (17-8, 8-0) was among those also receiving votes. University of Richmond (27-6) maintained the top spot with 5 of the 6 first place votes and 89 total points.

Teams point values are determined by each coach’s rankings, with 15 points for first place, and descending by one point for each place away from first.

The Eastern Coaches Poll consists of 76 teams in the Northeast and East Regions declared by the NCAA. These two regions consist of eight conferences (America East, Atlantic 10, Big East, Colonial, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Northeast and Patriot), and two independents.
