Sophomore midfielder Alyssa Trudel (Shoreham, Vt./Middlebury Union) of Boston University, junior midfielder Sarah Cahill (Lexington, Mass./Lexington) of New Hampshire, and Stephanie DeGennaro (Coram, N.Y./Longwood) of Stony Brook were named America East Player, Defender and Rookie of the Week, respectively, on Monday (April 14).
Trudel scored five goals and added seven assists in two games as the Terriers defeated Albany and Brown. She scored two goals and assisted on five others and also had six grounds balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers in the win over Albany Friday. She added three goals and two assists in the win at Brown Sunday. She is only the eighth player in Terrier history to record 100 career points and has 13 goals and 15 assists in the Terriers' current five-game win streak.
Cahill had six grounds balls and caused a turnover as the Wildcats won their first conference game, 12-5 over Vermont Saturday.
DeGennaro scoried five goals and added five assists in two Seawolf wins. She had three goals and three assists in the 13-7 win over Central Connecticut Wednesday and had two goals and two assists as the first-year Seawolves improved to 2-0 in America East with a win over Binghamton Saturday.
