Seniors Maria Ferrucci (West Seneca, N.Y./East) and Amanda Heller (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East) of Albany and Mary Beth Miller (Berlin, N.J./Eastern) of Boston University were chosen America East Women's Lacrosse Player, Defender and Rookie of the Week Monday (March 31).
Ferrucci scored seven goals and added an assist in the Great Danes' 2-0 week. She scored four goals and had four ground balls, three draw controls and a caused turnover in a 12-11 overtime win over Vermont Thursday in the America East opener for each school. She also scored three goals in an 18-5 win over Siena Tuesday.
Heller recorded a season-high nine saves in a 12-11 overtime win over Vermont Thursday. Her stop on a free-position shot in the extra session helped preserve the win.
Miller scored six goals and added an assist in two games last week. She scored three goals and had an assist as the Terriers defeated No. 13 Old Dominion, 14-12 Saturday.
