Binghamton first-year goalkeeper Kevin McKeown (Brewster, N.Y./Brewster) and Albany attackman Chris Martocchia (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) were named Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, by America East Monday.
McKeown registered a season-high 17 saves in a 7-6 win over Quinnipiac Saturday. McKeown made seven saves in the pivotal fourth quarter as the Bearcats picked up their first America East win.
Martocchia scored a season-high four goals in an 11-10 win at Drexel Saturday. He scored the game-winning goal with 4:13 left in the fourth quarter. He also had a team-high three points (two goals and an assist) in a 15-5 loss at No. 6 Massachusetts Tuesday.
