Trudel, Sheridan, Trachtenberg Earn Weekly Honors

Boston University sophomores Alyssa Trudel (Shoreham, Vt./Middlebury Union) and Anne Sheridan (Baltimore, Md./Roland Park) and Stony Brook first-year player Marrisa Trachtenberg (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) were named America East Player, Defender and Rookie of the Week, respectively, on March 11.

Trudel seven goals and adding four assists in two games last week. She scored five goals and added three assists in a season-opening 17-1 win over Quinnipiac and added two goals and an assist in a 17-11 loss at No. 10 North Carolina. The midfielder also caused four turnovers and recorded two ground balls.

Sheridan made 16 saves, four shy of the Terrier school record, in a 17-11 loss at No. 10 North Carolina. She also made two saves in a 17-1 win over Quinnipiac.

Trachtenberg scored three goals, including the game-winner with 3:16 left in a 7-6 win over Long Island Sunday. The game was the first Division I contest for both the Seawolves and the Blackbirds.
