Hall, Meinhardt Receive America East Women's Basketball Weekly Honors

Senior guard Morgan Hall (Hanover, N.H./Hanover) of Vermont is the Wilson Player of the Week, and freshman guard Katie Meinhardt (San Francisco, Calif./St.Ignatious Prep) of Boston University earns Rookie of the Week honors. The awards were announced on February 17.

Hall, who wins the award for the third time this season, led Vermont to a 2-0 week, including the Catamounts first road victory in league play. She scored a game-high 28 points on 12-for-18 shooting in a 79-58 victory at Binghamton (February 12). She also grabbed eight rebounds and handed out four assists versus the Bearcats. Hall tallied 17 of her 28 points in the first half. Hall followed that performance with 19 points and a career-high tying nine assists in a victory over Northeastern at Patrick Gym (February 15). Hall finished the week averaging 23.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game, while shooting 51.3% from the floor. She also cracked the 1,500-point barrier this week. Hall currently has 1,542 points and stands fourth among UVM’s all-time leading scorers.

Meinhardt, who earned the honor for the second week in a row and the fourth time this season, scored 23 points in the Terriers’ 93-51 win over Stony Brook Wednesday (February 12), one-shy of her career-high. She then scored a game-high 15 points, including the game-winning three-pointer, as the Terriers defeated Hartford, 58-57, on Saturday (February 15).
