Boston University’s Becky Bonner (Concord, N.H./Concord/Stanford) and Vermont’s Aaron Yantzi (Waterloo, Ontario/Waterloo-Oxford) share this week’s Player of the Week honor, while Hartford’s Ikea Witt (Vineland, N.J./Sacred Heart) wins her third consecutive Rookie of the Week award.

Bonner scored a game- and career-high 26 points in the Terriers’ 74-63 win over Fordham. She connected on 4-of-9 three pointers and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe. On the season Bonner has shot an impressive 50.0 percent from downtown (13-of-26) and a flawless 100 percent from the line (10-of-10), which is tops in the conference.

Yantzi, who receives co-Player of the Week distinction for the second straight week, averaged 23.0 ppg and 8.0 rpg over two games for Vermont. In UVM’s 75-72 overtime win over William & Mary, Yantzi was the difference as she tallied 30 points, including the game-winning layup with 6.6 seconds remaining, and 13 rebounds.

The current America East scoring (20.3 ppg) and rebounding leader (10.5 rpg), Yantzi is shooting 59.5 percent from the floor (44-of-74), 82.9 percent from the line (34-of-41) and has recorded a league-best five double-doubles on the season.

Witt (Vineland, N.J./Sacred Heart) wins her third consecutive Rookie of the Week award, after sharing the honors last week with New Hampshire’s Ray Williams (Mississauga, Ontario/The Woodlands School).

Witt, the Hawks leading scorer (13.0 ppg), was instrumental in another big win for Hartford. Against the Big East’s Pittsburgh, Witt scored 9 points with four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 20 minutes of action off the bench as the Hawks downed the Panthers 60-54. UH has now won back-to-back games over an ACC opponent (Virginia) and a Big East opponent (Pittsburgh).
