Ten America East Players on Women's Soccer All-Region Team

America East was well-represented on the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) All-Northeast Region team. No fewer than 10 America East players were honored including first-team choices Brittany McDonald and Melissa Shulman of Boston University.

McDonald, the America East Defensive Player of the Year, and Shulman, the America East Offensive Player of the Year, helped lead the Terriers to the America East Championship and a 12-6-5 overall mark.

Backs Linda Consolante of Maine, who played for Team Canada at the 2003 World Cup, and Cindy Walsh of Hartford were chosen to the second team.

Goalkeeper Jessica Clinton of Boston University, back Tatiana Mathelier of Binghamton, midfielder Jeanette Akerlund of Hartford, midfielder Liz Dyjak of Northeastern, forward Annie Hamel of Maine and forward Kristin Kowalik of Northeastern were chosen to the third team.
