Northeastern (6-0 America East, 15-5 overall) defeated New Hampshire (5-1, 10-10), 1-0, Saturday to clinch the No. 1 seed in the America East Championship and earn the right to host the championship at Sweeney Field. Maine (4-2, 14-5) and Boston University (3-3, 9-10) round out the four-team field.
The America East defending champion Huskies will play Boston University at 1 p.m. Friday. New Hampshire and Maine will follow at 3:30 p.m. The winners will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday to decide the championship.
The winner of the America East Field Hockey Championship receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
