Albany took home all three Baden honors for week four as Alexis Bowens (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) took home Player of the Week, Eileen Nicole Rodriguez (Ponce, Puerto Rico/Ponceno) received Rookie of the Week, and Jill Dombrowski (Canton, Mich./Plymouth Salem) garnered Setter of the Week honors on September 23.
Bowens was named to the UAlbany Invitational all-tournament team, after averaging 6.33 kills and 1.56 digs in nine games played. Bowens posted a .336 hitting percentage in 125 total attacks, including a season-high 26 kills and 11 digs for her first career double-double against Long Island (September 21). She posted a match-high 16 kills and hit .600 in the Seawolves' victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore, and a match-high 15 kills and three digs in three-game sweep of Drexel (September 21). Bowens leads the team in kill average at 4.18 per game.
Rodriguez was named to the UAlbany Invitational all-tournament team after averaging 2.50 kills, 2.30 digs and 2.00 service aces in 10 games played. Rodriguez fashioned a .278 hitting percentage for the weekend, including an eight kill, four dig, three assist and career-high 10 ace performance in a three-game victory against Maryland-Eastern Shore (September 21), and eight kills, six aces, 10 digs and three assists in the Drexel (September 21) win. She posted nine kills and nine digs vs. Long Island (September 20).
Dombrowski averaged 12.70 assists and 2.30 digs in 10 games played at the UAlbany Invitational last weekend. She also had five block assists, two services and four kills. Dombrowski posted a season-high 52 assists and had 10 digs against Long Island (September 20), recording 40-plus assists for the 10th time as a collegian. She tallied 39 assists in the Maryland-Eastern Shore victory (September 21), and 36 assists and nine digs in the three-game win over Drexel (September 21).
