Rookie shortstop Bobby Tewksbary (Hudson, N.H./Alvirne) of Vermont, sophomore Mike Collar (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) of Maine and rookie pitcher Devin Monds (Ottawa, Ontario/Nepean) of Northeastern were named Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week, respectively, by America East on May 20.

Tewksbary hit .700 (7-for-10) in three games last week. He had a double and scored twice as the Catamounts clinched the No. 2 seed in the America East Championship. Tewksbary hit .422 in 22 conference games.

Collar pitched a four-hit complete game with nine strikeouts and no walks in a 10-0 win at Binghamton as the Black Bears claimed the No. 1 seed in the America East Championship. It was Collar's eighth-straight complete game and ninth overall to tie the Maine record for complete games in a season now shared with Bill Swift.

Needing a win to clinch its 10th-straight trip to the America East Championship, Northeastern sent the rookie right-hander to the mound and Monds responded with seven-hitter in a 3-1 win at Vermont. He struck out six and walked one in lowering his conference-best ERA to 1.93.
