Sophomore first baseman Jamie Boyer (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) of Binghamton, sophomore pitcher Mike Collar (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) of Maine, and first-year pitcher Jonathan Lewis (Queens, N.Y./Francis Lewis) of Stony Brook were named America East Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week, respectively, on Monday, April 8.

Boyer the Bearcats to a 3-1 mark atop the conference standings. Boyer was 10-for-19 at the plate with five RBI during the week. He was 6-for-8 with three RBI and two runs scored as the Bearcats swept the doubleheader at Hartford on Saturday.

Collar, the 2001 America East Rookie of the Year, fired a two-hit complete game in a win at Pace Saturday. He struck out seven and did not issue a walk in recording his second complete-game shutout of the season.

Lewis tossed 11 strong innings in the Seawolves 7-6 win over Vermont. He allowed two earned runs on nine hits while throwing an astounding 176 pitches in a no-decision before the Seawolves picked up their first America East win in 13 innings.
