Player of the Week: Brian LaMastro, a senior midfielder from the University of Hartford (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) earns Player of the Week for the third time this season. The senior attacker continued his torrid pace as he leads the country in scoring at 5.38 points per game. He scored four goals and added three assists in a 29-12 win over Siena last Thursday. In a key America East conference victory over Quinnipiac he had four goals and four assists. In total, he netted eight goals and added seven assists for the Hawks, who have won six straight games and post a perfect 4-0 mark in the league.
Rookie of the Week: Kevin Rae, a freshman goalkeeper from the University at Albany (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) earns the Rookie of the Week honor. He made 14 saves in 7-5 America East win over Vermont as the Catamounts were shut out in the fourth quarter. Rae recorded 10 or more saves for the ninth time this season. He played in one half against Siena in a 17-5 non-league victory, and made four saves. He ranks 16th among the Division I leaders in save percentage (.599). Over his last six appearances, he has a 7.92 GAA, and the Great Danes are 5-1 in that stretch.
