Player of the Week: Ericka Hergenroeder of Boston University (Sr., A, Annapolis, Md./Severna Park) earns this week's Player of the Week honors. Hergenroeder went on a scoring tear this week, with back-to-back five goal games against Albany and No. 5 Cornell. Hergenroeder also scored two goals against Dartmouth. In the Terriers 17-5 win over Albany, Hergenroeder scored five goals and also had a team-high five caused turnovers. Against No. 5 Cornell, Hergenroeder scored five goals, had an assist and registered a team-high four draw controls. Against #18 Dartmouth, Hergenroeder had two goals, three caused turnovers, two ground balls and two draw controls.
Rookie of the Week: Boston University's Alyssa Trudel (Fr., M, Middlebury, Vt./Middlebury) earns her third Rookie of the Week honor this season. Trudel set a program record with six assists in the Terriers 17-5 win over Albany. In her freshman season, Trudel ranks third on the team in scoring with 22 goals and nine assists. Trudel has scored at least one goal in all 10 games.
Defender of the Week: Erin Finnigan of the University at Albany (Sr., M/D, Fairport, N.Y/Penfield Central) is this week's Defender of the Week. Finnigan scored her first goal of the season on a free-position shot during Albany’s 16-11 win over Manhattan on Sunday. The senior defender had four ground balls and caused seven turnovers in two contests last week. She also added three draw controls against Boston University.
